Houston Public Media's "The Full Menu" Recommends Perseid for Houston Restaurant Weeks 2025
Houston Public Media's popular podcast "The Full Menu" featured Perseid as a top recommendation for Houston Restaurant Weeks 2025 in their highly anticipated annual HRW episode. Host Craig Cohen and panelists Felice Sloan, David Leftwich, and Eric Sandler discussed the best dining destinations for the monthlong charity event benefiting the Houston Food Bank.
Leftwich highlighted Chef Aaron Bludorn's participation across all four of his restaurants, noting that Bludorn takes "a lot of pride in being part of HRW." He specifically recommended Perseid at Hotel Saint Augustine in Montrose as an opportunity to experience Chef Bludorn's culinary soul. "If you haven't been to Perseid, his restaurant at the Hotel St. Augustine in Montrose, this is your chance because this is kind of Aaron," Leftwich explained. "He worked for Daniel Boulud in New York. His Frenchie's heart, his culinary soul, is on display at Perseid." The panelist praised specific menu items, calling out the smoked salmon dip as "really great" and the chicken paillard as "outstanding."
The segment emphasized Houston Restaurant Weeks as the 22nd annual event founded by the late Cleverley Stone, who described it as a "win-win-win" for restaurants, diners, and the Houston Food Bank. This year, the Cleverley Stone Foundation will donate $5 for every $55 dinner sold—equating to 15 food bank meals—with nearly 400 restaurant locations participating across the Houston area. Last year's event raised just over $2 million for the food bank.
