CultureMap Names Augustine Lounge and Perseid as Nominees for 2026 Tastemaker Awards

CultureMap Houston has announced the nominees for its highly anticipated 2026 Tastemaker Awards, and both Augustine Lounge and Perseid earned prestigious nominations recognizing Houston's top restaurant and bar talent. The annual awards celebrate the very best in Houston dining, from beloved neighborhood establishments to nationally recognized hot spots.
Augustine Lounge at Hotel Saint Augustine received a nomination for Bar of the Year, competing alongside nine other outstanding Houston bars. The nomination recognizes Augustine Lounge's distinctive atmosphere and cocktail program, which features listening experiences curated by Cactus Music and signature drinks like the Point of Origin.
Perseid, the restaurant helmed by Chef Aaron Bludorn at Hotel Saint Augustine, earned a nomination for Best New Restaurant, the only category determined by CultureMap readers through an interactive tournament this spring. Perseid joins 15 other acclaimed newcomers in the competitive category.
The nominees were selected by a panel of judges including local culinary experts and past Tastemaker Awards winners across 10 categories. Winners will be revealed on April 16 at Silver Street Studios, where attendees will enjoy chef-prepared bites from participating nominees, perfectly paired cocktails, and the announcement of Houston's top culinary talent.
SULLTRAIN, as the communications partner for Hotel Saint Augustine and Perseid, congratulates both properties on these well-deserved nominations and looks forward to celebrating Houston's vibrant culinary scene at the awards ceremony.
