PaperCity Magazine spotlighted SULLTRAIN's private VIPit Experience at the 39th Annual Houston Art Car Parade, where founder Mark Sullivan and co-host Jay Fields brought together Houston's business elite and creative community for a luxe afternoon on Walker Street — rain and all.
We're honored to be featured in PaperCity Magazine and we have to say, they captured the spirit of the day perfectly.
On April 11, SULLTRAIN hosted its VIPit Experience at the 39th Annual Houston Art Car Parade, transforming our private section along Walker Street into what PaperCity called "a high-energy hub of style and celebration." SULLTRAIN founder Mark Sullivan and co-host Jay Fields, CEO of The Fields Companies, welcomed a remarkable mix of Houston's business leaders and creative tastemakers. And yes, we smiled through every bit of the rain.
The experience was brought to life through the extraordinary work of our collaborators. Walker Wright of Abodes ("Walker, Texas Stager," as PaperCity cleverly put it) curated the stunning setup, featuring Chiavari chairs, velvet sofas, oriental carpets, fresh flowers, and tablecloths, all in the great outdoors. Greg Davis and Event Elementz handled catering and cocktails, keeping everyone well-fed and spirited as 250-plus art cars rolled by. DJs José "Chapy" Luna and Stephen Sanchez kept the energy high from start to finish.
The guest list was a true reflection of Houston at its best. We were thrilled to have parade Grand Marshal Kam Franklin join us fresh off her official duties, alongside country star George Ducas, renowned artist Mel Chin, Houston First board chair Jay Zeidman, Transparent Sunglasses founder Margot Hogan, and so many other incredible Houstonians who make this city what it is.
As PaperCity beautifully put it, this was more than a viewing party. It was a celebration of Houston's unique intersection of industry and imagination.
