Houston Business Journal Covers Montrose Country Club Opening and Return of Rich’s Houston
In a feature packed with visuals and local excitement, the Houston Business Journal reports that hospitality visionary Jeff Harmon is launching Montrose Country Club, a dayclub and restaurant experience centered around a 65-foot pool—and reviving the iconic Rich’s Houston at its original Midtown location.
Opening March 14 at 202 Tuam Street, Montrose Country Club reimagines what a “country club” can be: no memberships required, just chef-driven food, thoughtful design, and a vibrant social atmosphere. Guests can access the pool and dayclub for $20 before noon and $25 afterward, with private daybeds, lush landscaping, and a fire pit creating an elevated yet approachable retreat in Montrose.
The culinary experience is led by Chef Diego Chiarello, known for his bold fusion of Italian, Southern, and Cajun flavors. Signature menu items include shrimp ceviche, crawfish étouffée egg rolls, French onion meatloaf, and bolognese—as well as a dessert menu worthy of celebration.
As a parallel project, Harmon is also bringing back Rich’s Houston, the beloved LGBTQ+ nightclub, to its original home at 2401 San Jacinto Street in Midtown. This move cements Harmon’s role as a steward of Houston’s nightlife evolution—balancing legacy and innovation across two vibrant venues.
SULLTRAIN, as communications partner, is proud to spotlight both milestones—each reflecting the spirit of Houston hospitality and the power of creative vision backed by decades of community trust.
